Generation forests - our contribution to a greener future
The consequences of climate change have long been a reality: rising temperatures, prolonged periods of drought and the ongoing extinction of species are having a massive impact on our forests. At the same time, there is a growing awareness that we must – and can – take urgent action. Our response to this global challenge is as simple as it is effective: we plant trees.
But not just any forest – we are creating generational forests. These forests grow in harmony with nature, are maintained sustainably and provide a long-term habitat for plants, animals and people. They are designed in such a way that they will also benefit future generations and permanently bind CO₂ from the atmosphere.
Grow Forest e. V. is passionately committed to the reforestation of degraded and cleared areas in Europe. Our projects follow ecologically sound, scientifically based reforestation concepts and promote both biodiversity and the climate.

Climate crisis and biodiversity
The climate crisis is one of the greatest challenges of our time – with serious consequences for our environment. Europe’s forests, which not only serve as a habitat for numerous animal and plant species, but also act as important carbon reservoirs, are particularly hard hit. Rising temperatures, increasing extreme weather conditions and changing precipitation patterns are throwing sensitive ecosystems out of balance and posing a lasting threat to biodiversity.
Forests are the green lungs of our planet.
They store CO₂ and actively contribute to reducing global warming.
They regulate the water cycle and protect against dehydration and soil erosion.
They provide a habitat for countless animal and plant species and promote biodiversity.
They improve the local and global climate – and therefore our future.
AIM
One billion trees for Europe
Our goal is ambitious – and urgently needed: Together, we want to plant one billion new trees in the member states of the European Union. But reforestation alone is not enough. That is why we are equally committed to the preservation of existing forests and ecologically sustainable forestry.
Because every tree makes a contribution: it stores CO₂, provides a habitat for countless species, improves air quality and cools its surroundings. Whether tropical rainforest, native mixed forest or green islands in the city – every tree counts. By joining forces, we can make Europe’s landscapes more resilient, more liveable and more sustainable.
