With the PANONIA project, we are opening a new chapter in the history of our forests. In western Hungary, in the VAS district, a near-natural mixed forest is being created on an area of over 5 million square meters – planted with native tree species.
Not only are around 2 million trees growing here, but also hope: for a stable ecosystem, for long-term climate protection and for a habitat that will last for generations. Thanks to the size of the area and its ecological importance, PANONIA will be our first project – with a projected CO₂ sequestration of 2.72 million tons in 100 years.
A forest for the future – rooted in Hungary, designed for Europe.
